Best SEO Specialist Job Boards

Getting your first SEO job can be difficult if you don’t know where to look. In this post, I’m going to talk about my three favorite job boards that I go to.

If you are new to the field, check out my SEO specialist career guide to learn about the basics of being a specialist, and information on what the job entails.

Let’s get started:

1.Indeed

Indeed is by far my favorite job board to go to for several great reasons.

For one, there are so many new jobs that show up each day in a variety of positions and skill levels. So whether you’re a beginner or an expert, like myself, you can find a number of jobs that fit your qualifications.

Also, what I like about Indeed is that you can often submit with your résumé, a cover letter and any projects you’ve completed.

I have found this feature to be extremely helpful because by submitting all these extra things it is easier to stand out from other applicants.

Which is important in an increasingly competitive job market.

2. LinkedIn

LinkedIn is great because you can easily network with recruiters, and fellow candidates.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve just randomly received a message from a recruiter who has stumbled across my profile, was impressed and wanted to interview me.

Even with me already having a job.

Another thing I like about LinkedIn is their easy apply feature. This is a great way to send out your résumé quickly to recruiters, but I would not solely rely on this. With easy apply it is hard to stand out from other applicants, and with the market getting more competitive I would use this sparingly.

Now if you have LinkedIn premium, you can send a follow-up message to recruiters to help them better connect your résumé with a name.

3. Glassdoor

I like Glassdoor because it is easy to filter jobs based on your needs, and you can see estimates of what a job salary may be even if it’s not posted.

Also like Indeed, you are able to send in a portfolio and cover letter with your résumé to help you stand out better.

So if you’re using Indeed you may want to use Glassdoor too because again they are very similar platforms.

What about other job boards?

Now I know there are other platforms like Monster, Simplyhire, Snagajob, and Ziprecruiter, but honestly I haven’t gotten much traction on these platforms.

Also what I often find is that jobs that are listed from Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor are just rehashed on these websites. So rarely do I see a unique job posting.

That’s just my experience.

Become an SEO Specialist

So again these are my top three favorite job boards to go to. In fact, I got both my SEO specialist and manager jobs from Indeed. So Indeed definitely is my favorite.
