Table Of Contents

1.Keyword Stuffing

For SEO it is important and best practice to have your relevant keywords in your content.

It should not be over done.

If you notice that the same word is being repeated over and over again in your content.

Then you may be witnessing “Keyword stuffing” or just know simply as “spamming”.

This tactic alone can have produce CATASTROPHIC results to your website.

Here’s what Google has said about keyword stuffing:

“Filling pages with keywords or numbers results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site’s ranking. Focus on creating useful, information-rich content that uses keywords appropriately and in context”.

SEO Best practice is using the keyword in your title once, description twice, in your headers once, and in your content where it makes sense.

Anything more than that is keyword stuffing and may result in your website being flagged as spam.

If you thought keywords stuffing was bad let me tell you about link farming:

SEO Companies may try to sell you on being able to produce hundreds of backlinks to your site in days.

This may sound great as backlinks are the fasted way to grow your website.

But if it sounds too good to be true, 9 times out of 10 it is:

This scheme is called “Link Farming” and it is where links to your site are sold to other businesses.

Often these business are untrustworthy and have content that is not even remotely related to your business.

Or even worse:

Inappropriate

So you may find your website being linked to lewd, violent or suggestive content.

All of which can produce poor rankings and your site potentially being flagged by Google if not removed in entirety

Here is an example of “Link-Farming”:

3.Doorway Pages

Doorway pages, also know as “page cloaking” is where a user (an SEO Company) may try to trick search engines by replacing well written content with poorly optimized content.

This is done in an attempt to avoid ranking the page properly.
